What would be the correct way of doing this?

Hello,

I polished my car and applied a Gyeon ceramic coating to it about a month ago. Yesterday I washed my car and I noticed what seems to be a slight scrape on a door, as if someone maybe opened a door and lightly touched my door. No ding or anything, just a little scrape.

So my question is, what would be the correct way of polishing this spot, and applying coating to it again? Do I just polish the spot, and apply ceramic coating normally to it? Or do I need to polish the whole area? I don't want any weird high spots or marks since it's already coated.

Thank you!

Hand polish the area, inspect and re-coat, no problem

Btw which Gyeon coating did you go with exactly

I did the Gyeon Q2 Evo. Turned out great.

So I'll just polish out the scrape and apply coating on that tiny spot, no issues.

Thank you.

I mean some scrapes need a machine polish but nonetheless, re-apply and your good to go

I've currently got Gyeon Q2 Pure EVO on my DD that sits outside 24/7 and it still looks great, almost 2 years since application

I would hand polish the area as already mentioned, but try to keep the area as small as possible. Hopefully that will do the trick, but be prepared to do the whole door over again. I have tried to do spot corrections in the past and they have looked a little odd and I've ended up having to do the whole panel to get a uniform appearance. This may not be an issue since its only been a month since the coating was applied.
