A big thumbs up. I have used sponges ( a very long time ago), MF wash mitts and the wool wash mitts. What bothered me about wool and MF mitts is there inherit quality of trapping the grit inside their fibers. That really bothered me when washing my car. Especially with wool. You know the grit is trapped up there, deep in the pile of the wool. But is it safe? When you look at a very deeply soaked wool mitt the fibers are flat, not thick looking, thereby exposing that potential to scratch your paint.
The Shmitt is not a sponge. It's a high quality, durable foam but very soft. When washing your car, you can see the grit instaneously which you can easily rinse out because you don't have the problem like MF trapping the grit - or the wool fibers as well. Using the scrape method along the edge of the rinse bucket really reduces the potential of the grit staying on. The method is to scrape the Shmitt over the top edge of the rinse bucket so that the waster water flows "outside" of the bucket. Step 2, you shake the Shmitt inside the rinse bucket a few times. Step 3, you scrape again on the rinse lid so that the water scrapes off. You inspect the face of the Shmitt and you can see if any grit is left over.
Using the Shmitt and the scrape method, I typically get 2 to 3 pieces of grit in my rinse bucket and I am averaging about 0 pieces of grit in my soap bucket. Right there, you have reduced the potential to introduce new swirls from a wash. This is a break through product and break through method.
***IMPORTANT** I have no affiliation with Edge or Shmitt. I approached this new product with a tremendous amount of skeptism, but I tried and words can not express my experience using these Shmitts!
