I have asked this before and the answer I get is that UC is for DA, M105 for Rotary & Wool pads, M101 for Rotary & Foam pads.

Let's say I hate M105 and M101 is not available in my Country. What is wrong with Ultimate Compound on a Rotary & foam pads really?

It's not like I don't have access to good compounds - I have S3 Gold, FG400, Optimum Hyper Compound etc. But I keep hearing about UC being so good.

That is a very good question

If I am forced to guess, maybe it has with the amount if lubricants in the formulation?

Higher lube in rotary products?

I am sure Mike P can offer some insight, as he worked for Meguiar's prior to AGO

I'll take a stab and say that since UC has SMAT abrasive technology...it doesn't need a rotary's potential of additional heat/RPMs in order to "break down" these type of abrasives.

Also:
When a liquid product, such as UC, directions say:
"Can be used by hand"... that's usually a dead giveaway (to me) that a rotary is not a recommended tool.
