I don't have a orbital buffer yet but i have noticed under certain i can see lots of swirls hair scratches. I'm hoping to find something rather simple to use but get the best results. Am I asking for too much?

Feed back please

Get yourself a DA polisher you can't go wrong. 3 below are a good bang for the buck. Groits and Meguiars are about the same power. The PC is weaker but will still do the job and if you like to wax by machine I prefer he PC over the others. Comes down to personal preference.

Groits Griot's Garage 6 inch Random Orbital Polisher, Dual action buffer, DA polisher

Porter Cable Dual Action Orbital Polishers and pads: Porter Cable 7424 : Porter Cable 7424XP: Lake Country Buffing Foam Pads

Meguiars Meguiars Dual Action Polisher G110, meguiars g110 polisher, meguiars polisher,

The first polish/compound I tried was Meg's ultimate compound. It was easy to apply by hand and remove.

Knowing what I know now and some of these newer clear coats you can take care of 80% of the swirls with M205 and tangerine ht pads. And follow up with gray pad and m205.

As everyone else said, the Griot's DA, Meguiar's G110, and Porter Cable 7424 are all good, affordable entry-level polishers. I learned on a Griot's and still love it.

As for polishes, I started with the Wolfgang Twins, Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0 and Wolfgang Finishing Glaze 3.0. I think with different pad combinations, these two can be used to tackle a variety of paint types and degrees of marring.

:iagree:
With a newbie it's very easy to just go OTC with the Megs Ultimate Compound and Polish, even with the bigger pads (on the GG6). Results are always going to be there, and the number of different pads that they'll work with makes it a no brainer.

Top them with either a Megs WOWO like M21 then if you're really feeling froggy, some M26. OR, go to any number of WOWA sealants and call it a day. :D

Good recommendation.
