Over the past couple weeks I mistakingly ordered too many green pads and honestly not sure How I messed that up.

Anyway, what is the best use of them outside All in One type products or cleaner/waxes which I hardly ever use?

Would a green pad work okay with a Menzerma SF4000 or SF4500 at all? Normally I use a white pad for those products and they do well. From there I go to a sealant. Is green too soft and would it be a waste to use them with SF4000 / 4500? My cars are usually in fantastic shape blemish wise so even a white pad isn't really necessary but I'd use the above if it would help produce a nicer finish.

Just trying to figure how I will use them or if I'll trade them away.

Thanks in advance for your input.

There are too many variables to say yes a green pad will work with 4000/4500. Green is only minimally less cut than a white pad so I would think that it would work very close to the same as white.

They're my go to pad for HD Speed, enough cut to get most jobs done but won't mar on most paints.

I don't have the PDF chart comparison handy but is HD SPeed Equivalent to say the two products I mentioned?

HD Speed is an AIO. Compound, Polish, and Sealant. I too use the Rupes Green Pad with excellent results.

Thanks everyone. Looks as though I can probably use them on both cars and any of the AIO or nice polishes since niether have much in the way of correction really needed. Just after winter, perhaps some light marks.

They are Hex Logic Green pads BTW.

The green hex logic is very open pore, so don't use a lot of product.

But yes, its a great one step pad and can be used with.

Its a versatile pad.

It is under discussion rather the white hex logic is a heavier cut then the green.

Some say the green is heaver then white, some say that the white is heavier then the green.

It says so on different sites.

Either way its a good pad.

If you bought to many of them post them for trade on the samples thread, one mans junk is another mans treasure.

Maybe someone will trade you for the pad you really like and keep a few of the hex logic green

I use the green Hex Logic / Buff and Shine as my heavy cut pad. I get way more cut from that pad than any stiff cutting pad.

They're also more comfortable to use because they're softer.

Another advantage is that they don't require heavy pressure at all. They allow me to use my PC like I used to use my rotary to eliminate heavy defects.

I prefer using Megs Ultimate Compound, or M100 on them.

See my picture album where I used them to remove 1000 grit sanding marks.

I use their blue for one step, or final polishing.

PM me if you have too many.

The white pad is denser, but the green is more coarse.

I believe the universal determinant is that the denser the pad = more aggressive. Not sure how that works considering that the yellow is softer than the orange. Microfiber even softer than the softest polishing pads!

Adams used to pair that particular green foam with their most aggressive polish when the had the three step system. In their system, it was deemed more aggressive than even the orange.

Personally, it doesn't matter what the company, reseller, or private labeler markets it as. That green foam has proven itself to me in some touchy situatuons, where the stiff cutting pads weren't working fast enough.

The pink Lake Country is a similar foam composition - excellent pad as well.

I do like the grey and white pads for AIO applications though.

@pdqgp. I'm curious, how many green pads did you order?

Curious about the pink pad as well...what is that best used for/with?

I use it for heavy cutting.

I've also used those pads with Meguiars M02 for one stepping on a PC.

The scratches are shown in the brighter reflections, in both photos. That vehicle was done with the PC/M02/Pink LC pad.

These pads also like wetter compounds such as Ultimate Compound, M100, D300, and M02.

For thick compounds like FG400, I use the polar opposite type of pad - the Lake Country, Cyan Hydrotech.

The only foams I don't like working with are the yellow and orange foams from LC, and yellow from B&S/Hex.

Dlc you see the new hex logic quantum pads? Look just like a rupes pad but with hex logic foam. Looks perfect for the long throw polishers. Since you're the resident pad expert around here I nominate you to try some out on your Duetto and report back!

Lol! Definitely not the expert.

I've used the original green, and blue hex on the Duetto, and don't care for that combination unless I have the mod installed. I really like the Rupes pads, polishes and machines together as intended by Rupes. They work fine, I just like the crisp feel of the Rupes pads on their tools.

The Rupes foam pads are another great example of large, open cell pads. That blue one is unreal!

Awww man guess I might have to be the guinea pig here with these quantum pads!

Rupes pads are great. I'm definitely a big fan of the white and yellow. Blue cuts good and finishes well but I hate how much product it splatters all over the place.

I was thinking the green hex logic would be a little bit softer then the Rupes blue and green and hopefully conform better to any contours.
