what's the last car care/detailing video you've just watched?

For sure. He was trying to send me a bunch of new bottles because when their tire cleaner came out, it ate through the bottle in about 4 months. I emailed just to let him know since it's a pretty strong product more for use on a limited basis if a hobbyist. He wanted to make it right but was no real need.

They're a good group. Just noticed a lot of their video content is being filmed at what seems to be a new sister company? They made a mention of their affiliated business that has also become a testing ground. They seem to be taking a strategic approach to growth and not throwing every brand they can at the consumers.

If you are talking about the "sister company" being a detail shop, well that existed before Armour Detail Supply. Naples Auto Armour is where the "Armour" comes from.

Figured there was more. Briefly caught it in the video I was pushed. Sure seems like they've been putting it all together the right way... no matter if the chicken or the egg came first.

They have filmed other videos at what looks like DJ's shop.

Has anyone tried Yum Cars yet? Their detailer is pretty good.

Yum Cars Detailer First Look- Better Than Adam's? #carwash

Not a fan of the YUM Cars guy or some of his sleezy business tactics, so I guess he fits in with the THOR family.
Yeah the Yum undress was good but the owner needs a slap Will Smith style.

I bought a bunch of Yum stuff on Amazon and TCG about 2-3 years ago. He was small time with a decent UK following. Never really paid much attention to his content honestly so no opinion.

Since the time they've joined up with THOR all I see is the push on marketing. Apparently the Yum detail spray sitting unused in my basement (bought to maintain their window coating) is now the greatest stuff since sliced bread. I still can't decide if it's the next AGO with good intent or a cash grab over at THOR. My gut says cash grab/used car salespeople.

Someone told me about the new Project Farm video about the best snow foam

I watched 30 seconds and shut it off

That guy really grates on my ears and I question a lot of his methodology

His detailing videos are not worth watching. I did find his recent gas stabilizer one interesting, and for some reason he tacked on a headlight restoration test as the second half, which...I question his methodology on.

I watched it too. I question his selection as he included 2 high pH soaps commercial soaps that SHOULD clean better and not something the typical viewer of the video would want to use. The lubricity test was interesting.

I found it interesting that koch chemie gentle snow foam finished damn near the bottom of every category when that has been a favorite amongst enthusiasts for quite some time now.

He frequently reaches conclusions that are the complete opposite of my personal experience as well as the consensus of other people using a given type of product

I find his content worthless as he makes videos on just about any topic rather than being a master of one, so how can his findings provide technical value if the topic he is talking about isn't really of interest? It would be like me making videos on motorcycles, I know what they are, but have no interest or deep understanding of them.

So, I haven't watched the video in question. However, on KCx GSF, I suspect he used it as directed on the bottle. Now, that is technically the correct thing to do, so I can't call him out on that. However, for anyone who has used GSF, you will know that the KCx dilution measurements are completely off the mark. This is the official KCx recommendation -

Snow Foam: Pour approx. 20 ml Snow Foam into 1 l water and lather the vehicle using a foam sprayer. If necessary, clean with washing mitts or similar and rinse with water.

Handwash: Pour 50 ml into 10 litres water, clean the vehicle with washing mitts and rinse with water.

There is absolutely no way GSF will foam with only 20ml of soap in 980ml of water. None! You need at least 80 - 100ml, some will even use 150ml. The bucket rate is probably about right, I never measure it out as I foam in onto the car rather than rely on a bucket solution.

So, if he only used 20ml, then no bloody wonder it was felt lacking across the board. See, if he was into detailing (or any topic), he would have known this or come across it during the research phase.

Well, compare it to those that take 5 minutes to get to a useful statement especially at the beginning of every video. They seem to be padding the time.

Anyone watch the show "Resident Alien"? It was on SciFi and then on USA networks. It is now on Peacock. Imagine replacing Pan by with the alien.

I've heard of it just not on any of my Paid for streaming TV services.
