what's the last car care/detailing video you've just watched?

This is a slick detailer from a new brand. White label? Maybe.

New brand! Greyscale #10 Detail Spray- Slick Stufff!

ShineMate EB212 vs comparable machines.

I do love my cordless Rupes with the exception of that damn trigger. I don’t know how this machine got out of the design phase without a trigger lock and trigger that won’t break once a year. Once you get past the questionable choice of trigger, the HLR75 has insane cutting power yet runs buttery smooth in my opinion.

I nearly bought a HLR75, purely because it was nicely sized and in theory being from a premium brand. But then I got a chance to try one and found it far too noisy, had an unpleasant grinding noise, vibrated, so the user experience just doesn't match the price premium. I've since bought a EB212 and can say it's in another league for smoothness, quietness, torque and stall resistance. It's also better shaped, overall performance is supremely capable due to that torque/stall resistance, and it has a trigger lock.

I wanted to love and ultimately buy that Rupes, but its not even on the same page as the ShineMate. Not Rupes bashing here, I have the HLR15 and LHR75 pneumatic and enjoy using both.

I saw there was a new video by Will. Since it got directly connected to THOR, I lost interest in his videos.

I watched this new video from Stoner about their Stoner Glass Stripper. Has anyone tried this product? It seems like it’s the real deal as far as deep cleaning and removing every single thing and leaving glass virgin bare.

I think it’s part of a kit that also includes a coating but I’m kinda just interested in the stripper if it means perfectly clear glass for vehicles that really need it.

Looks easy to use too. I’m interested. Check it out.

I've used a couple of glass polishes, Autoglym, which was not as good on the outside as the stripper, but great on the interior to remove haze, and Duragloss Nu-Glass which achieved similar results to the stripper in the video, but I never tried it inside as I thought it might be too strong. I wonder what the price would be if it makes it over here? Thanks for sharing.

I just realized he didn’t use it on the interior side but made no mention of whether it’s not recommended. Or maybe I missed it, but if he didn’t, he should’ve. Maybe I’ll ask him.

I haven't used that product but have used the similar P&S Clarity Creme. This won't remove heavy defects like cerium oxide can, but it will strip water spots and deep clean the glass. I've used it by hand and on a da machine. Fantastic product that you can buy on its own rather than ending up with a kit.

I really like using Clarity myself, easy to use and the glass has an almost gloss to it when your done.

For what it's worth, Stoner has really good customer support.

Well, the Stoner "kit" is just the glass stripper and the sponge to apply it with.

I was just responding to the below.................

From the drivers seat, it's almost like the glass disappears in front and behind you. It's super satisfying to see the difference it makes to what is otherwise clean and clear looking glass.

I use Clarity Creme on a Lake Country SDO blue foam pad on a 3-inch or 5-inch machine. The trick is not to overload the pad as it can get messy, and I've found a damp towel helps with the otherwise easy wipe off.

How’s the removal of that product go? I currently use Mckee’s Glass Restoring Polish and the results are great but the wipeoff can sometimes be a PITA.

I noticed you just said that you sometimes use a wet towel to buff it off. That’s what I sometimes have to resort to with the Mckees. I’ll use some rinseless as the wetting aid but it’s so much more satisfying when it wipes off effortlessly with just a dry towel.

I use the damp towel mainly to contain the dust. Having said that, its nowhere near as bad as CeriGlass for the wipe off or dusting. A heavy wipe off only happens if you've used too much.
