what's the last car care/detailing video you've just watched?

Optimum pushed the sponge since ONR stained mitts a lot.

Last video I watched was the long, detailed debut of ADS Detox and Regen, both ordered after the video and I'm looking forward to using them at The Bays Wheeling when I return from the Dragon run (although I'll be doing a Feynlab v3 RW at the end of each day) because I'm sure the EN will be trashed on the 600 mile drive back to Chicagoland

Yvan made in a comment in one of his videos that foaming and then starting to wash was just leaving dirt on the paint Yet, isn't that just was what rinseless is all about? You can even foam some rinsless rinseless product?

A sponge after a wipe with rinseless. Because it is called "rinseless" it does not harm.

My latest.

This caught my attention first because I've had the wiper chatter problem after using a glass sealant.
Idon't use a drying aid every wash anymore, let alone a ceramic drying aid, but mainly it's about saving my favourite drying towels.
The interesting fix seems to be applying it to the blades. Have you tried that?

I've gone to using absolute at 1 to 64 as a drying aid at all washes. It appears to have every benefit and no down side. Most important it doesn't make my drying towels hydrophobic. It's very inexpensive, it's very lubricious and it helps prevent water spots. Also it doesn't interfere with any protection products I apply afterwards which I buff off with 16 x 16 microfibers. Much easier dealing with si02 residue in a 16 x 16 verses a drying towel.

I did read that, a few days after my last application, but I'm going to test it out next time. But I've had success with applying graphite powder to the blades, which is what's on some of them when they're new.

I was watching a THIS WEEK in detailing and they were discussing affiliate programs.

This shows there can be a lot more to "affiliate" links. The fact that each link often leads to 20% revenue reduction to seller so prices are built in for 20% discount - 10% to buyer, 10% to affiliate.

Yup, no money to be made on YouTube, nothing to see here..."I trust him, he's just trying to honestly review products..."

Well think there could be an advantage for a seller that doesn't have an affiliate program over a seller that does. A seller that doesn't have an affiliate should be able to offer the product for 10% less and still reap another 10% for themselves.

The 10% is essentially for advertising expenses - others hawking your product.

As I think I keep saying, there is a reason that professional detailers are spending a bunch of time making YouTube videos and editing them, instead of spending time working on customer's cars...it's because they think they can make more money using that time by making videos.

Didn't we recently have posts in this thread about Scott at Dallas Paint Correction saying he made hundreds of thousands of dollars one year from YouTube? That sounds a lot better than beating up your body cleaning a filthy minivan that the customer told you "isn't that bad".

I skipped through this a bit, but it seems like all show, no go....or maybe all hype, no wipe?

As a rinseless, it does a good job of cleaning. It reminds me of Mckee’s N914. The dry-on method I struggled with, but i don’t let my vehicles stay very dirty in the warmer months. I’m reserving judgement on that part of it until nastier weather.
