No. House got down to 71. Any longer we would have found a warming station (fire hall) or found a motel with power.

we had a snow squall last night. not much accumulation. just used the EGO to clear the driveway, car and sidewalk.
Starting to really dry out here grass wise, how about you?We hit 35C/95f today, then a little storm came through, currently 20C/68f.View attachment 139792
Same here, the soil is so dry it's shrinking. There's some big cracks under the grass and gaps between the paths and the soil. We got 20mm of rain today so that helps a little bit. I put the sprinklers out a couple of times a week, but I can't help but think they'll be bringing in some water restrictions soon. This guy was happy with today's rain though.Starting to really dry out here grass wise, how about you?

Similar here, but we top out at 40C on Saturday. The streets get very quiet here, everyone hides inside, being a new estate, every house has AC.Not good!
We get these heatwaves every single summer, sometimes lasting longer, sometimes lasting less. And as usual, the media plays it up with their fearmongering, as if the world is going to melt and human life will cease to exist. It's summer, it gets hot. They then tell everyone not to light a fire, like who would in those temps, so all that does is give the pyromaniacs their queue set a forest on fire.
I just hope the electrical grid can keep up.
