Hey Mike,
I've noticed that in many of your webisodes, and threads, when detailing cars, you seem to be using wheel covers.
Do you mind explaining to everyone what they are for, and where I can purchase them?

Thanks Mike!

You can get cloth ones at Harbor Freight for like $7.99 for a 4 pack.

Great question...

They're called Wheel Maskers and I get mine a our local PBE store. Haven't seen the ones Pat mentioned at HF so I can't comment but the ones I use are a sturdy canvas with a wire ring in the back to hold them snug to the tire.

Wheel Maskers
Wheel Maskers are canvas covers with a piece of mild steel rod sewn into the rear perimeter and then placed over wheels and tires to protect them from splatter. I use them for almost ever car I buff out.

Get Creative
If you don’t have canvas wheel maskers you can make them from large lawn and leaf plastic bags. I’ve even made them using newspaper.

Saves Time
The last thing I want to do at the end of the day when I’m tired is clean spatter of someone else’s wheels and tires.

Autogeek used to carry these but my guess is there was a lack of demand so they were dropped.

Thanks Mike, another question, if I were to buy them, do they come in a variety of sizes?
