Wheel Wax

I have billet aluminum wheels on my Fairlane, which look great but are lots of work to keep looking nice. I also have disc brakes front and rear.

Can anyone recommend a wheel wax? Does that help quite a bit or not worth the time? Up to this point, I've just been polishing as needed. Normally using Mother's Billet Aluminum Polish.

Also remember this is not a daily driver at all. Just a "fun", nice weather car.

I would just use what you have. I have heard that the brand Wheel Wax is hard to remove.

i just use spray wax on rims, maybe not the best but its quick

i use the brand wheel wax and have liked the results. not hard to remove as long as u dont let it set very long. i normally put the wax on all the wheels and once i put the wax on i go back to the first wheel and take off. comes off very ez. but what u have should be good

Collinite 845 or UTTG for me.

I've not used this product myself yet, but I've heard good reviews:Collinite Metal Wax # 850
All my wheels are painted, clearcoated or have chrome rings and centers. I use Collinite 845 since it looks good and is so durable. All the brake dust comes off with just a normal wash.

I have just started using Opti-Seal on my wheels. So far it has worked great. And it is soooo easy to apply. I think it gives stuff like 845 a run for its money. And yes I have used 845, KAIO/KSG, Wheel wax and others.

I feel the opposite way...I think the stuff is a pain to get off..dust all over the place. I think poorboys wheel sealant is much much easier to use.

Ever considered sealing them? Zoop Seal used tomake a great sealant. They since stopped the the original creator went on to create anothert sealant.

Guys over at SVT Performance with True Forged wheels seem to think pretty highly of this stuff.

I would say opti-seal for ease of use, but I don't know about protection of the wheels.
