Hello again,

I have a question for anyone who has Aluminum alloy wheels.
I have 4 wheels that have tar, dried paint and some other material I thought was adhesive. See the pix I have attached for a visual.
I have tried "Goof Off" and 3M Adhesive remover, but neither did much good at removal of this junk. Any one have a trusted method that will clean these up?

Thanks to all.

You might wanna try some Sonux on those for sure and also a good old toothbrush or two or three and a padded seat cushion to sit on and some free time, alot of it! Good luck to you, all good things come to those who wait.......and do the job right!

Also, the wheel cleaners that are in gel form, like Griot's, is another option but come to think of it, you'll need some harder, nylon brissel brushes for wheel cleaning IMO.

Even though they may be aluminum alloy, they are painted.
What's trusted for me may be unthinkable for you, and would only get around 85% clean.
Most of the creases would remain damaged.

Klasse Act,

I have some Griot's Wheel cleaner. Can't find the Sonux in a store. Guess I get to order some. I'll try the Griot's first.

Twisted 1,
Since you don't say what you would do, it still remains "unthinkable".
