Should you wait a long time for the sealant to cure in order to let the car sit on the rain? would you get watermarks on the paint if you let it cure for 15 mins and throw the car under the rain?

I know you should wait 12 hrs between coats

Thanks

The main reason to not let it get wet during the curing period is durability. During that 12 hours, the polymers in the sealant are cross-linking to provide maximum durability where as water effects that process.

Apply the product, allow it to dry till it swipes clear then carefully wipe it off.

For most climates this will be about 15 to 20 minutes. Power Lock wipes off really easy and leaves a slick finish, it's actually a very nice product. No need to let it sit on the paint for hours after it dries however.

Yes i know!

I've been using for a while but I didn't know about possible issues with water.

Thing is I have a car to do tomorrow and forecast says it's going to rain.

Basically during the 12 hrs curing time it is recommended not to be exposed to water or else it will make the products last less?

Thanks!

Correct! I usually explain the differences between sealants and wax to my customers. But usually they aren't to interested in the details of each they just want a clean shiny car with some protection that lasts. Thats why Collinite 845 is one of my favorite products. Hope that helps!
