When will it be safe to detail?

My GTR is in the paint shop right now. they couldnt blend the white, so they are basically painting the whole car again minus the hood, fenders, and side skirts.

when will i be able to wax, and or get rid of the swirls i know they will put in it?

Usually wait 30-45 days to wax after painting

this is to make sure the paint is 100% cured right?


i really dont kow much about the painting process, post paint.

I believe that it depends on the paint that they use. Some paints are fully cured after they have dried, others need a month or two or three. The body shop should be able to tell you when the paint is ready for wax.

I just had to get repair estimates on my girlfriends car today. They had signs up "no heavy paste wax for 90 days". What is considered heavy paste wax. Souveran, fuzion, dodo and P21S 100% go on pretty easy.
