I have some Klasse AIO that I got in a kit. I never use it except for painted metal door handles or bumpers ect. I want to clean up some water spots on windows and everyone say KAIO and #0000 steel wool is the golden ticket. (I did a search and keep reading people say this...)

So where can I pick this up locally?

I don't know anything about your "golden ticket" but the steel wool can usually be had at Home Depot, Lowes, any decent hardware store, body shop supply.

A hardware store, Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. Thry should have it. Good luck!

when i look at home depot all i can find is the course stuff.

Im curious...have you tried this technique? Because I read about 15 pages of threads where numerous members have said where vinigar, clay, DP glass restore, polish and other things have failed, this really worked. So since I already have the KAIO then it wont hurt to try.

I just did a search and it says ACE hardware has it...so I guess Ill be going there today.

Ill let you know the outcome....:righton:

ok ill try walmart. its closer!

I got mine at Orchard Supply Hardware (OSH). I didn't have that much luck with KAIO & #0000. I had more luck with PC and polish. Could have been operator error with the #0000. It scared me.

I'm not trying to hijack your thread BUT every time I use the #0000 steel wool it makes a nice little mess of metal filings all over that must be cleaned up or they will rust pretty easily.
I'm not sure if anyone has tried a scouring pad alternative that is equivalent to the #0000 steel wool that might be a bit less messy. Just wanted to throw in my observations to give you a heads up before you use it.

Hmm. I dont think you are going to do THAT much damage with #0000. tight little circles should do the trick...

Im going to use the clay, vinegar, then the #0000, Klasse, PC with POLISH, and then Dimondite resurfacing creme, then poli shield. If it doesnt come out after that then I wont worry about it. :righton::buffing:Im the MAN:cheers:

I can always tape some paper around where Im cleaning....I hate metal filings!

mm when i went to Lowes they had all the diff. grades of steel wool in the paint section/hardware/cleaning (dont rmr exactly)

#0000 steel wool and KAIO is the only thing that worked for me for stubborn glass spots. I tried so many glass products and nothing worked, neither did PC and polish on 4" orange cutting pad. My waterspots were baked on for years and now glass looks 90% new. I forgot how I did it, I would do an area then switch over to new side etc, don't keep rubbing with the same side, I went through a couple packs but I did all the glass on the truck. And don't do sideview mirrors, will scratch the coating.

When you start keep applying pressure till you feel the wool grabbing the water spots or see them being removed.
