Where can I get a decent LEATHER cleaning brush OTC?

Hey AGO,

Quick question for you, I've finally gotten all I need to work on leather seats. I've got a dedicated cleaning solution, and a few conditioners (pinnacle spray, and a lotion based conditioner)

I just want to know where I can go OTC to get a good quality leather scrub brush for aggitating the cleaning solution? I've tried working the solution in with some older microfiber, but I don't think it was as effective, I was scared of it absorbing more cleaning solution than it used.

So, straight to the point, where do I get the brush?
 
I use MF for the most part, but a soft bristle brush is good to have around, you may be able to find a smaller wheel brush at a pepboys like store, or go to the shoe polish section of a target or walgreens, Kiwi makes a small leather brush for shoes that is about the same size as a fingernail brush 3/4 inch by 2.5?

How about a horsehair brush like the ones you use to apply shoe polish? The small round ones, not the big brick type ones.
 
Horsehair brushes soften too much to be of any real use.
We use IKEA dish brushes and they work perfectly.
 
I use the horsehair brush you get in the shoe polishing kit. Works really good.
 
jesse .... I love those b..bies. Back on track however, most brushes are sold at parts stores or car specialty stores.
 
I got a nail brush from Wal-Mart for 2 bucks I believe. It works awesome
 
This one is ten times better than any that I've found OTC. Vinyl & Leather Scrub Brush . A natural bristle fingernail brush from Bed, Bath, & Beyond was in distant second. For really neglected leather the PC brushes are awesome.
 
2X2 horsehair brush

Image detail put my on the hunt for one for anouther application but the brush I bought is for leather.
 
I found the perfect one for leather in the pet section at walmart. It was for brushing cats and cost $3.50. Purrrrfect size and bristles.
 
It will depend on the leather. If the leather is very soft and finely finished then a soft brush will work best. In that case a brush made expressly for leather is kind of a must. I use a medium stiff brush in my BMW X5 because the leather is pretty thick and pebbled finished. As a matter of fact, I use the OXO dish washing brush with a reservoir :). I fill the reservoir with my leather cleaner so it's a one step thing to brush and apply product. Here it is:

My leather cleaner is from a two part system and is thinner than dish soap so I have to use care when pressing the applicator button on the top so that not a lot of product comes out at once. Also, the brush being medium stiff I don't apply any pressure at all when cleaning the seat. Makes it easier on me as well :).

You can get it at Bed Bath and Beyond.

Here's a seat that was done a few minutes earlier with the OXO brush - still a little damp from the step 2 conditioner...:

I can relate to that!!! I got tied up and didn't make out to get that brush did you?
 
No, I got laid off from the company I've been a Superintendent for the last 25 years. When I told the wife I was going to go buy the brush, she went to the room that I keep my supply's in and came back with 7 different kinds of brushes. She said when these don't work any longer you can have more. :nomore: What's a guy to do.
