My wife and I are are opening a detail shop and will also offer mobile detailing. We have rented a 4 bay body shop and plan on using it as our base of operation. We are really starting this on a shoestring budget; so we can't afford 2 extractors. We want one that will run on our 5000 watt generator in our van and still be strong enough to do a really good job at the shop. I think this forum is great. I have been reading them for years and this is the first time I have ever posted to one. I tried to find the introduction forum but couldn't. Thanks to all of you for sharing your knowledge. I never realized that detailing was so intense.
Thanks Again,
William and Nessa

Let's see....

mytee.com

I have experience with the Mytee HP-100.
Big machine, works wonders! May be too big for taking on mobile jobs, unless you have a ramp on your van..... They do make smaller units as well. I wouldn't get something too small, ie....2 gallon tank...

Maybe something like the HP60

you can find a lot of thrusty brands for carpet extractors / if you want a single stage motor on your unit.

a Double stage, a basic 100psi unit, or maybe choose a 200pis &up
Portables already with heat, will clean better. but ofcourse the generator you have or will be using. need to make sure. it will handle the machine you choose.

In my opinion, always if you can use a machine for different task`s is better than just for a single use

A have an Sniper Sandia 20gallon / 2-2stage motors with 200psi 2000wats in line heater
with this machine I can offer also / upholstery cleaning, rug cleaning, mattress, residential carpet cleaning.

Instead of buying an small machine just for details / I preffer a machine that can help me do different types of jobs = More income$$

As previously noted, this thread was started almost 8 years ago...I'm pretty sure the OP doesn't need the advice anymore.

Well we know not to buy a Mytee at least.

I Wonder what you guys would suggest now :)

You don't remember the tread about 5 months ago where a guy had countless problems with his Mytee hot water extractor and the company did not want to do a cross shipping exchange for him? Then plenty of people started saying they had trouble with theirs. Some of the parts were burning off for no reason. Let me try to find that thing...
