476 say it lasts a year, everyone on this site loves 845 and 915 is the most expensive. Is 915 the best. I have a new audi with black paint with two coats of Menzerna PL on it. Which collinite should I get to top it?

Max protection = 476
Max depth = 915
Middle of the road on both = 845

Really, not one of them are slouches, nor are bad decisions.

Max protection = 476 and can be very hard to remove, I suggest working by doing panel by panel. Last fore ever and maybe longer.

Middle of the road on both = 845 is easy on easy off.. Great bang for the buck.. A winner for sure! 6 months protection where I live.

The 915 is an awesome wax. If you have time to really get into it id use 915. But 845 is an awesome quick wax. Only takes me about 45 min to do my truck with is. 915 obviously takes a little longer

All of them.... Ugh I'm the worst person to ask, I'm a hoarder of wax

476 is my first and only experience with collinite. I machine applied and removed and it was super easy.

if you want more shine with that protection, I wiped on some Optimum Car Wax to sweeten the shine. Also makes for some easy maintenance wax.

I went with 915 a few years ago based on Collinites web site recommendation and have not looked back

845 is the only one of the three that I have used, but it is a great wax. I typically take it off because I want to put something else on before it losses its protection. Easy to apply and easy to maintain.

Thanks for the info everyone. I think I'm going to go with 915. I would like to apply it with my Griot's D/A. How do you guys get a paste wax like this on the pad. Do I use something like a spoon? Any advice?

I use 476 as a base and then top off with another wax that will give me whatever look I'm going for (sometimes even just V7 or AquaWax after a wash). Never had a problem topping it either but as some have said...it can be a pain sometimes to remove if applied too heavy!

I use a plastic spoon. the links provided above are good stuff

Get all 3!

476s is great on wheels and windows too! I mostly use 845 but like having 476s and 915 around. With all Colly waxes thin is the key and I use a small metal spoon (daughters baby spoon) to scoop and spread on pad.

Typically, I apply 476 or other harder pastes with a 4" pad on my GG. I'll place the can right over the pad and give it a twist or two. Once the contents are no longer flat enough to cover the pad well, I'll use an old credit card as a squeegee to spread it nice and thin on the pad.

I use a plastic glove, take thin knife cut around the can, then flip the wax can upside down. with wax in you glove hand spread onto pad. DA use a very slow speed, or apply by hand, then apply to car surface.

Like other have said neither is a bad choice, I like 476 topped with either Max Wax or Pete's 53 -

I apply to the entire car by hand and wait 1.5 hours before removing.... The removal is easy, especailly with a DA.

I used 845 for the first time last night, and while i was mind blown with the results.. I can't stress enough how important the thin application is. Its a real PIA to get off if its thick!
