Which DA Polisher

The PC7424 I have just isn't cutting it anymore. Its pretty old, like 10 years old. I dont think it has a problem correcting paint it just take a loooooong time. Needing something that is a lot quicker since time I'd money.

Need something that can do fast one steps and still be able to correct the paint.

Which DA would you guys reccomend? I've been looking at the Flex3401, Rupes21 and Griots21.....I'm leaning more towards the flex.

Which would you reccomend and why?

There are a ton of threads asking this same question so you might want to try doing a search. You're going to get a hundred different answers as each has their own favorite.
 
Rupes or BOSS 21,

FLEX is great tool im sure but i just never used it before.
but upgrading from PC, 21mm long throw saves me tons of times and smooth operation.

I have rupes 21es and it cuts fast and BOSS has more power so im sure it will be even better at cutting + comfortable in your hand

but I hear some people prefer rupes over boss because BoSS creates heat too fast on pads.

but you cant go wrong with any of those choices.

Never heard this regarding the Boss polishers, but have heard some situations where the GG6 has melted some pads on speed 6. However, almost any polisher is going to cause overheating of the pads if you try to do an entire car with one or two pads.

In the past I've used my GG6 on speed 6 and never had a problem--just rotate pads to give them a chance to cool.

OP--keep in mind Griots polishers come with a lifetime warranty and Griots has excellent customer service.
 
If you looking to save time the Flex is the fastest. It breaks the polish down faster than my other DA's(less passes required) and will stall for nothing.

If I'm in the mood for almost as fast correction as the Flex but require smoothness and comfort over and above everything else, I reach for my Rupes 15 with the washer mod.

I have a PC7424XP and a Rupes LHR 21ES. The Rupes is an outstanding machine.

that is true, but my point was BOSS creates heat faster than rupes due to the extra power.

not a issue or any negative, i was simply comparing side by side notes on rupes and boss.

sometimes I really hate soft start.... wish i went with boss.
maybe... its not too late to switch lol
 
For me it's a toss up between my Duetto, and 3401. They're both kicking some serious tail for me.

Wait till after SEMA. There might be something new introduced, and you can either have the option on the new machine, or pick one up cheap due to people making room for the new machine by selling off their old ones.

trust me, the wait will be worth it on a few things...

btw, anyone who is looking to purchase a traditional PC-style DA should get the GG6. for what it offers and comes with is an easy choice...
