Hey I guys I have a pressure washer and foam cannon.

Which of the above has the best foam? (thick and clingy)

Also, if there is another type that beats all three of these, please let me know. But it has to come in gallon or half gallon bottles, so it is economical. Thanks!

I use honey dew and it works great plus gallons are not expensive

have you ever used maxi suds II? I've been reading a lot on the forums and people seem to say that maxi suds II foams more Feed back please

Seems to be a lot of mixed reviews out there on foam cannons and what soap produces the most suds. A few things to take into account. Mixture ratio, as not everyone uses the same. Water quality, as hard water will not produce anywhere as much foam as soft water. I also find that mixing the soap with warm water in the bottle produces better foam. Just a few things to think about. Currently I am using Honey Dew with satisfactory results. For foam use I tend to stick with the more concentrated products.

I've used a lot of car shampoos but, unfortunately, Max Suds isn't one of them (one day, probably). I've settled on CG Honeydew Snow Foam mostly because it works as well as or better than any other I've tried and costs less.

Here is a video I made and posted on the sister forum:

2oz of CG HDSF : 16oz water in the premix.

Note: the car is OptiCoated and Gtechniq Silo Sealed. Glass is G1'ed. Not much sticks. On a "normal" car and sprayed from a bit closer, it is quite sticky.

Wished I could be of more help.

So honeydew seems to be pretty well liked, but can anyone compare honeydew to maxi suds?

I have used all 3. To be honest IMO they are all very similar in the amount of foam they create. So it really comes down to price and preferred smell for me. I will say this about MaxiSuds. It seemed to be a little more harsh on wax LSP's than the other to. Not sure why just seemed that way.

I actually have opticoat on my car, so gone are the days of worrying about stripping the wax :D but since you have used all three, which would you say produced the most foam regardless of stripping ability?

Autobrite snowfoam from the UK I have seen works great...literally clings too the car and lifts the dirt. I have not used it but Im am going to order it.

I use both and there really isnt too much difference. The HD is more concentrated so you can use less, but MS II is cheaper.

detailers pride xtreem foam.
when thats done i have a gallon of megs hyper wash. (read good things about it).

I've used Maxi Suds II and DP Extreme Foam. I've also used Meg's Gold Class and really all works fairly well and all have the ability to strip LSP's if you use to much product. I used about 3 ounces in my MTM Foam Cannon and haven't had issues of stripping my LSP. IMO the Maxi Suds II foams better than both of the ones I've used and is cheaper in the long run with the gallon.

Dont use Maxi Suds. I have used it, it doesnt ever seem to rinse completely off my cars. Trust me, just dont buy maxi suds. I will never again.

If your looking for value, megs hyper wash beats all. Really easy on the LSP and foams very well. You can also use it as your bucket wash soap.

Detailers Pro Extreme is great to, pruduces a really thick foam, but for a foam fun, hyper wash will do better because of value.

Here is a great video on megs hyper wash:

Good information. I have never seen that video before either.

Like I said, it really come down to price and scent because all "snow foam" soaps are really very similar.

But to add my 2cents in this. If you want a real great foaming soap that also has great cleaning ability and can be used in a bucket wash check out Meg's D110 Hyperwash. It is great!!!

I love HDSF but I worry I am not using enough. I use 1 oz in 16oz of water. Is this too little? I was concerned about having it too strong and stripping the LSP.

It is my understanding that, within reason, CG HDSF will not strip LSP. In the first review I saw of it, the reviewer used 0.5oz per gallon and noted it did not strip the LSP.

Their instructions on their other washes say 1 oz/16oz so that should be the right amount.

0.5/128 is a big difference from 4/128

Has anyone used CG citrus wash and gloss with a pressure washer foam cannon like the MTM hydro? I was thinking of switching to that but would like to know how well it foams and cleans.

I have that. It makes good suds but IMO it leaves behind a soapy film that takes a lot of rinsing to get off. My dilution in my soap canister in the g force foam cannon is 1:100
