Which heavy clay to use ?

Hi,
I have black Mazda 3, that I think don't clayed (or how write this) for years ago :\ (a lot of swirels).
I need your help please, which heavy clay to choose ?
I use ONR as Clay Lube.

as I think someone never does polish/clay to my car.

id suggest a mild clay to start with, particularly if you're new to claying. aggressive clays are generally used for removing overspray etc. and can very easily mar paint.

I'd suggest Opti-eraser. It's easier to use than traditional clay.

If it drops on the ground, just wash it off instead of throwing it away and it'll last longer.

The only disadvantage of it is that it's harder to feel when the panel is clean of deposits. With clay, you can feel it slide easier over an area once it's clean where the Opti-eraser "hides" that but it still works.

So I have nanoskin at my home - Fine grade,
The question is if to use that or Chemical Guys clay block (They grade it at fine-medium)

In general I prefer clay PAD to use with DA polisher to save time.

Personally I've never liked the synthetic type valuing products. You get less feel, and I've seen a lot of damage done with them by folk due to exactly that. I'd always recommend using a proper traditional clay bar

How may cars depends on how much is embedded in the paint. If the bar is getting really black, you won't be able to fold it without some contamination showing, in which case you have to toss the bar.

I bought the Meguir's claybar kit, with has two 80 gram clay bars in it, plus detailing spray. I usually split each bar in two, working with a smaller piece. (in case of contamination, or falling on the ground...it happens) In any case, I have done a complete clay job on 3 cars with this kit, and the remaining clay is still very clean.
 
sorry, that should say claying, not valuing in my previous post. good old spell check got hold of that one without me noticing lol.
Roguerobot is spot on buddy. simply put, it'll take as much as it takes. i usually use dodo juice supernatural clay, which contains 3x 80g bars. id expect to get several vehicles from one bar, but if you've got a car thats heavily contaminated then its gonna use more clay than one thats relatively clean. just be sure to keep folding the clay over on itself when its dirty.



if it looks like that, its time to fold it!
