Which pad should I use?

I am going tp apply Collinite 915 using a Griots D/A polisher. I have a LC CCS Red pad that I planned on using. I see a lot of people using a CCS Gray finishing or CCS Blue Finessing pad to apply a wax or a sealant. I have a new Audi with Black paint. I thought since red is the softest that is what I should be using. Am I wrong? Why would you use Blue or Gray as opposed to red.

You are not wrong at using the red pad. Since you are not correcting the paint and just applying wax, it should be no problem. If my memory serves me right, the gray pad doesn't cut so it is just another choice for people.
