I just purchased a Flex 3401 and Lake country pads from you. I have a 07 black Corvette with light to medium swirls and was what pad I should use? I am using Menzerna intensive Polish.

Thanks

Which style of pads did you purchase?

Assuming you purchased a selection, you'll probably want to use a light cutting pad and do a Test Spot and then check to see if the swirls are coming out effectively and quickly enough. For example an orange pad if you bought CCS or Kompressor pads.

Use the 4.0 to 5.0 speed setting and apply firm pressure.

In a perfect world you could use a polishing foam pad as it will tend to finish out nicer but generally speaking, the factory paint on modern Corvettes trends towards being hard.

Read through this thread and watch the video as it shows how to do a test spot and inspect your results using the 3401

I have used the Flex DA and it is a real nice machine. I would use the new LC Hydro Cutting and Polishing pad or LC orange and LC white. After you you MIP I would use Wolfgang Finishing Glaze and polishing pad. It leave a great finish after MIP.

LC Hydro Tech Pads.

Buy a few Tangerine finishing pads and a few Cyan cutting pads. Use Menzerna IP with the Tangerine pad first, if that doesn't work, step it up to the Cyan Pad. Then follow up with a finishing polish such as Menzerna Super Finish with Tangerine Pad.
