Which pads ?

Hi there to all out there. I'm Rick. I'm about as green a rookie as it goes for finishing. I am new to this site and I am amazed at how much information there is to be found in here and how confusing it can be. If I may explain my situation first, then maybe I can pull some info from you all out there. I have 2 cars to tend to. First one is a 2003 Civic. It's black and has the usual nicks and swirl marks as well as some "rubs" .The second is a newly purchased 2008 Accord. My son has also bought a new 2008 Accord as well. I want to be able to put a nice protective shine on the Accord to keep it looking new and shiny and keep it like a showroom car. If I am going to find some time to do this then I would like to rejuvinate the Civic's finish so it's nice as well. I am an individual that cannot " live" in the garage to tend to the cars so time is limited for me. From what I have read so far on the forums and the site has led me to decide on the Wolfgang line of products. I think I understand the steps involved and I guess the wisest choice of action is to own a buffer. I have bad shoulders so waxing a car can be a chore for that time period. So now I have decided to jump in and buy a PC buffer. Now comes the part that throws me somewhat. Which pads. At the moment I am somewhat decided on the Edge line of pads. But again. Which ones? The is the regular Edge. The is the Edge 2000. There is the Edge 3K. Without any info back from you guys, I think I would order the PC and then a set of the Edge 3k and then a blue wool pad as well as the white wool. Can anyone enlighten me on these pads and if you have any suggestions and tips or suggestions, I would really appreciate it. I'm sure I could get into a groove and enjoy this new "world" of auto care if I can get past this first hurdle. I'm from Canada by the way in the Toronto area so the winters can belike anywhere else so being in the garage waxing a car when it's nippy is not the choice thing to be doing so if there is another product line I should consider, please mention it. The Edge 2000 Foam pads & Porter Cable 7424 Complete Kit

remember if using the Edge kit no backing plate is needed, if using standard hook/loop pads then you need one. Youll still need the polishes and sealant ala carte with this kit.

Everything in one kit if you should want to step back from Edge Pad system for now.

I would suggest the 3.0 polishes before the sealant on two of the cars. Likely the newest car might only need the light polish prior to the Wolfgang Sealant 3.0.

Hi there. Thanks for your reply. Would there be a reason why you mentioned if I wanted to step back from the edge system? Would it be the cost difference? Would you know of the diferences between the Edge pads that I mentioned?
