The car has some fine scratches and some light oxidation. It's 15yrs old,so not bad for the age.

Whatever polisher you decide on get a 5" backing plate -- even the Groits performs better with the 5.5" pads as opposed to the 6.5". You'll save some money too as the 5.5" pads are less expensive.

Stick with flat pads as opposed to dimples and waffles.

If you're new to machine polishing IMO you're best off with pads that have recessed Velcro as it's an extra margin of safety when working near protruding objects on the car. I personaly prefer Buff & Shine pads (not sold on AG)as they are very well made, good prices, less confusing array of products and they hold up well. Which to get depends allot on the hardness and condition of your paint but in the B&S line 4 orange for heavy work, 4 Green for polishing and 3 black for finishing suit me fine. Then I have a red for each wax or sealant I use--the red is very soft but very dense so allot of product is not soaked into the pad. You could have a couple of yellow on hand for spot buffing any really tough/deeper marring.

That being said Lake Country flats are top notch and great to start out with and LC Hydrotec pads are a good choice as there are only 3 different pads to purchase (but ofcourse you'll need multiples of each).

IMO your're better off putting together your own package otherwise you'll get allot of things you may never use.
