Hi all, I'm a total newb to the polisher world and was hoping for some help form you all.
Which kit would be a good starter for me that is sold here on Autogeek from either PC or Griot's?
I would like to keep it under $200.

Sorry if it is a repost, I looked through the forums but still don't know which kit would be good for a starter.

Thanks,
Spud

Tough one!

I like the write up Mike Phillips did with a Lexus using Pinnacle products and the PC7424XP....

Step by Step How To using Pinnacle Products with the PC7424XP

The above thread has great information of how to use their products and they have a kit for less than 200 bucks including a couple of pads and Pinnacle products:

Pinnacle Twins and Porter Cable 7424XP

Ugh, there are so many to choose from!!!

The Meguiar's kit with the XP is a good start as well, although a little more than you want to spend, then you need pads, towels, products, waxes, it's a disease with no known cure except overtime at work!

I'm sure others will chime in.

I haven't used the Pinnacle products but used the Meguiar's products and they work great but the write up above gives great step by step for you....

Have fun!

I would personally spend a bit more and get one of the ceramiclear kits with PC. You could also piece meal a package of your own with PC=XP, pads (2 white, 2 orange, 1 grey, 1blue min), and either the Wolfgang or Menzerna polishes. What a combo !
