Which polishing pads/ compounds do I need?

Hey all

I have my black f-150 - its not a show car, but I want to do yearly polishes for just general polish, and get rid of some swirls-

I just got my DA polisher ( 6 inch ) , but would like to know what are the basic starting pads/compounds I'll need.

Any guidance is much appreciated

I like the 5" plate pad set up.

I usually recommend the Meguiar's Ultimate line of compound, polish, and wax to get started. Simple, effective, and easily obtained.

Orange, white, and grey ate the most popular combination from Lake Country's Flat, CCS, or ThinPro lines. I like the CCS.

Personally I use Buff and Shine - Green for cutting, Blue for polishing, and red for wax.
