I polished my wheels with Flitz a couple of weeks ago and want to put some wax or sealant on them to make it easier to keep clean.
Out of the products I have which one would be best for long lasting protection. The wheels must be uncoated because the MF would turn black as I polised.
My choices are
Collinite 915
Collinite 845IW
WGDGPS
Opti seal
Klasse Twins
Poor boys wheel sealant

Thanks
Ken

yes the polish will turn black if the surface is polishable, i just ordered poorboys wheel sealant myself after reading some pretty good reviews on it

Poorboys or DP Wheel Sealant or Optiseal

I have a jar of PB's Wheel Sealant but only used it once so far. The wheels seemed to attract more brake dust than before so I never used it again. Is that common with that product or was I just under the wrong impression? It was so long ago I don't even remember if the dust was easier to clean off.

Wheels in general seem to attract dirt/dust and likely in relation to being so close to road. Wheel Sealants commonly help with cleanup, soap and water versus harsh chemicals. Brake pads (type of material) can also really dirt up a wheel quickly no matter the protection. Ceramic less, carbons more.

I also should note that any uncoated wheel is always in a state of harm. The elements are always tarnishing the metal so any protection is better than none. It means less time metal polishing and removing all that black tarnish.

I have the Poorboy's Wheel sealant as well. When I first used it I expected it to repel brake dust and for the wheels to stay clean looking longer. I quickly noticed that was not the case, BUT, cleaning is MUCH easier with PB's WS. The majority of brake dust rinses off with a spray from the hose and there is no need for wheel cleaner anymore.

But the combo Klasse and Collinite, products that are known for their longevity, would probably last longer.
