I was getting along fine with most CG a Hex Logic pads and my SMAT polishes from Optimum till I made the switch to DAT polishes by Scholl Concepts, Sonax and Menzerna. A few professional detailers I know recommended against Hex saying they retain product and can throw it back during finishing cycle so I tried LC hydro Tech pads and I know they are popular here but they are just not for me.

What is everybody using?

My favorite pads for the rotary are the 3M ones. They feel much softer than something like the ever popular Hexlogic pads but are slightly less sensitive to the angle of the rotary and just seem to make the process slightly easier

I use Lake Country Kompressor pads on my rotary machines. They're a little thicker and I like the way they flex into corners. Some have complained that these don't work well on dual action polishers and I believe them but if you look at the pads design it's easy to see they're meant for a rotary...

I also use foam wool and wool pads but the Kompressor pads work pretty well....
