Since both of my cars are parked outside all the time, I want to make sure the paint protection I am using has UV protection. I know that Optimum Spray Wax and ONRWW have UV protection that supposedly migrates into the clearcoat. Up until now, I have used Meguiars D156 as my favorite spray wax / maintenance product. The base LSP is a ceramic-infused spray sealant that also contains carnauba wax (I won't mention the name since it is not sold on AG).

Does Meguiars D156 offer any UV protection?

Should I switch to Optium Spray Wax to get the UV protection it offers?

Do most ceramic-infused spray sealants by nature offer UV protection or do they need to have special UV blockers added?

Thank you,

Optimum is the only spray wax that has a patented UV protection.

The Optimum option is the one I know of that can actually prove UV protection. Here's my article on this product,

Besides that, I think a lot of quality brands include some form of UV protection but the more important BIGGER PICTURE is to take care of your car's clear coat so the UV protection in the clearcoat can take care of itself.

Make sense?

•Nowadays...
-Many Spray Waxes lay claim to containing UV
blockers/inhibitors/absorbers—ie: “protection”.

-Here’s one example:
