Just purchased a 05 325xi in white, the car is in great condition with no problems on the paint except for the usual small chips and dings on the front edge of the hood. I'm looking for the right wax to make the white color pop. I use Megairs on all my other cars if that is any help.

Preparation will help. A good wash, iron X and clay will prep the surface for optimal shine. If not inclined to polish or at least an all in one product like HD Speed, Collinite works well. Megs White Wax is a cleaner wax and another choice.

I agree:)

Thanks guys I was leaning toward meg's white wax, love their products. Tried other products and always return to megs.

The LSP you select will only optimise the prep done..
Spend you time and effort polishing the finish to as high a gloss as you reasonably can..
Look into jeweling... white is hard to make it pop but it is absolutely possible..
Once done the LSP will come down to what you want to use how often and the care involved to maintain etc..
True of any colour..
The essence then reload or coatings keep the whites bright.

Traditional carnuba waxes can darken whites.. very slightly
So this may influence your choice..

Personally I use essence, c Quartz and reload (and hydro2) after I wet sanded and polished up to Jewel..
seems to reduce the dirt adherence compared to waxes I have used..

Both look good though.. just different..

This. The most gloss will come from a good decontamination and polish. Whatever you put on after will basically enhance.

Even if you are going to polish to correct marring, on white paint using something with deep cleansing can do wonders. A paint cleanser on white paint can be dramatic. DG501 is a AIO that brings out more dirt than you thought was possible. Strong glossy sealant protection left behind.

white's tough if its already clean, i put a coat of souveran on my fathers new white truck and it didnt even really look any different. it was a 2016 though

100% agree. Cleaning white paint makes a big difference.

Polishing then jeweling, using non-abrasive chemical paint cleaners, or using a cleaner wax are all ways to accomplish cleaner white paint . Lots of good advice given in this thread.

Even if your car is in "good shape," going through the steps of wash, decon, clay, polish or chemically clean, then apply your LSP of choice will give you the results you are after.

I second this! Follow up with DG 105 and you'll have durability and white so bright it'll make your eyes hurt. Always been my go to when detailing white.

I have a 2011 BMW Z4 in Alpine white. I agree with the others about surface preparation. The more contamination you can remove, the better. I personally am not fond of wax on this car though. I prefer the paint to stay bright and clear; wax seem to give more of a soft glow that I don't like as much (although the differences are subtle). Wolfgang Sealant seems to work about as well as anything I've tried on it.

Also, if you really want to the white to pop, make sure that anything black (tires, trim, wheel wells, etc.) are *very* black. The contrast makes the white even brighter. Wolfgang Trim Sealant is great on trim.

That's whats on my Rogue.
WETS, great stuff, holds up to the harsh Florida UV rays and summer monsoon rains :props:

Thanks guys you have a lot of options for me. Now if we just get the warmer weather here.

On my mother in laws white g4 I used a combo of megs 21 topped with megs 16 and I never have seen white have that deep of a reflection. only problem is 16 is no longer available state side would have to import it from england.
