Whatever the saying goes, what's old is new, or what's new is old......or something to that effect
Just tweaking more detailing stuff like usual and decided to just see what new Nozzle Protectors were on the market.
Nothing comes to mind, but I did end up watching some reviews and some remarks.....like X brand is harder, X brand is softer.....
They like the softer nozzle protector
Here is the thing IMO. It's not a towel. You're not supposed to rub it on your paint.
It exists only as a -soft material cone- so that if you think you may have QC inserted a nozzle tip but the balls has not locked it in....when it goes flying off, it won't damage the surface as the soft cone deflects the impact. Even to this day, I might have an errant fly off.....I'm guilty of that
I think all of them are fine....wouldn't mind just having different colors just do ID and differentiate them, which the cheap Ali-Amazon one seems to be the clear choice
Just to keep up with the Joneses, I ordered the Acquline and the McKillins to compare
I think too soft of a material. they material may not be too durable but I suppose it also depends on the material in itself.
The McKillins just appears to be a OEM ALI time whereas the Aquiline is a -in house made- item not offered on Ali
I've been using a nozzle protectors for almost 2 decades......+ I still get the errant loose tip runaway. When I swap tips, I will trigger spray down.....cause sometimes I think it's locked in, but it's not. Maybe if I went slower and actually looked and confirmed it was locked before hitting the trigger....but that's just the same amount of time just to aim down and shoot and if it goes flying, then I know it's not locked in.
This way you can differentiate what tip angle/size you are using. I basically have mine all P touch labeled on the 1/4 fitting with a 3/8 sized p touch label. Small enough to fix on the hex head.
