Who waxes the interior ??

is this normal...?
Normal?
Well, for me:
•Depends a lot on, from what materials,
the interior’s components are made.

(However:
I’ve even seen people use Carnauba
Wax on interior leather appointments...)

Advertising? (I’ll add hype into the mix.)

What’s in a name?
Let’s dissect it a little bit:

• “Black Pearl” vs. “White”
• “Crystal Polymer” vs. “Carnauba Wax”

>You be the judge.<

I put ceramic coating on my piano black and Carbon Fiber Trim :)

Waxing the interior is the next big thing. You heard it here first!

I regularly use D156 and Optimum Car Wax on my trucks interior. Been doing this for 2+ years since seeing Darren Priest's video on D156. I don't use any interior protectant or conditioners but about once a month I'll take my towel that I used to spray wax the exterior and wipe down every surface on my interior except for carpet. The only interior surface I would use a paste wax is on coated wood veneers, aluminum trim, clear gauges.

I've considered using DP Max Wax on leather seats because it is a WOWO type wax that doesn't dry to a haze and can be buffed off immediately. I never ended up trying it but I have heard of guys using Collinite 845 on their leather.

This is probably the only time I'd use an exterior product on my interior. With the proliferation of piano black and other high gloss finishing bits in interior these days, they need all the help they can get to keep them clean and prevent light scratching.

With the heavy solvent odor in 845, I'd hate to use that on any interior surface. I can't imagine some of the ingredients would be good for any interior surface in the long run. There are too many good, easy to use interior products available to take risks.

I remember about 20 years ago when the Collinite sales rep came to my shop to try to sell Collinite 855. He said “ It will shine the #%@$ out of that leather “. We still laugh about it to this day. RIP Walt

I used d156 on the plastic panels, left a nice no gloss new look and I used sealants on the gloss piano trim, nice and slick

Nope! Just a quick clean once a month with surfex hd and citrus prewash. Car is spotless as I'm the only one who drives it so don't need to do much
