Hey everyone. My name is Rich. I have started my own business doing headlight restoration. I have been learning a lot about the different products and techniques. I am hoping to help out others, and maybe pick up a tip or two along the way.

Thanks everyone.

I have been actively reading but haven't been posting. I am always looking for ways to improve my services, and increase my customer traffic. I have searched and read a bunch, and found some great tips. I will be sure to stay active and post up anything I feel I can contribute.

Thanks again.

I like your webpage, rich! Can you tell us what's your main Headlight Restoration process? Are you using Spar Urethane method?

I am starting a Headlight Resto Mobile Service. I'm almost ready. There's plenty of work to do here on mexican lands!

Greetings, Tony.

Greetings, Tony.

First, Thank you!

Depending on the amount of damage, I have started as aggressive as 400grit. Usually starting at 600 or 800, then working up 1000, 1500, 3000 compound, then 50/50 Spar. I have heard a lot of people using 60/40 and I may try it, but I have been doing fine with 50/50 so far.

I was looking for a good DA type tool that I can use without spending a ton since the drill was not working well for excessively bad lights. Dvelup has a 3" backer that fits a DA so I used that and fit it to a DA that I bought locally. Works great.

Hope that helps some.
