I know, I know, why is the sky blue? Brunettes, blondes, gingers?
I was at the local big Merc dealership today, waiting for my neighbor to come back from a test drive -- he's the service department foreman there -- so I could ask him a question about my car. When he pulled up he caught me ogling a Jupiter Red 2015 GLA and his first word was, "Gross." Huh? He said he thought it is a horrible color for the GLA. So weird, it's the only color I actually like on the GLA range, the others being too bland (black, white, silver and charcoal).
At the car show, wife and I really liked the 2016 Honda Fit (for real). I thought the best color was the bright yellow. Wife said, "No FN way, that's ugly! It'd have to be blue or grey."
Buddy -- a die-hard VW fanatic -- was shopping for a new (lame-duck) Tiguan last week. I told him the charcoal or dark blue were my favourites and he said, "What? Bright silver or white, or not at all."
What makes me like cars in certain colors, across the entire palette, that others think are "gross"?
