Why does a microfiber towel feel different on each side?

I have some Griots white microfiber towels and the texture is different on each side. Several of my towels are like this. Is one side better than the other in general. Should my towels have the same texture on both sides?
What is ya'lls thoughts on this?

One side has longer strands of fibers so to say? The longer fibers is typically better for quick detail (QD), waterless wash, etc. the shorter texture is more for polish and wax and sealant removal, cleaning glass, etc. a little more friction to the towel to remove stuff
