Hello there. I have tried a few waxes & sealants. What makes them feel slick? Any idea. I find that some are very slick and some are not? Those that are not, I just can't face that if there's anything there? When this happens, I usually stop using these products & use another that can have the slickness surface.

Do u guys think it is coz tht some of these waxes/sealant may have too much cleaners in it that causes its formula to remove some of the wax by itself? That causes them to feel squeaky clean kinda surface. And not the slickness waxed kinda surface...? I wonder? :p

I've noticed that some sealants don't get real slick until the next day.

it can be as simple as a additive or silicone.

Thks guys. But why mostly the expensive ones feel slick after wiping off & the cheaper ones only have to feel slick after 1 day. Funny don't u think so? Or its that the expensive one needs to put the icing on the top so that we kinda feel its much superior & better? Hehehe. But actually I say this coz it kinda brainwash me into thinking that the slicker wax/sealant gives the best durability & gloss. Guess, it maybe rite? I say this coz I find most 'paste type' would be slick after its curing time. Is this normal? TQ.

Everything I have from AG, including waxes and sealants are incredibly slick. Some slicker than others, but some offer additional durability etc.

What sealants/waxes are you using? Just curious...

just remember that the "slickness" of your car has a lot of variable to it...yes sometimes it is due to the curing time needed for a particular wax/sealant...and also it depend how well prepped your surface was...did you wash/clay/polish...if you have a lot of surface contamination your finish will never feel slick even after waxing...

You've got that right! Before I got into doing this the right way I used to love waxing my car and feeling the slick surface. That is until I got a PC and polished my car last year. Holy crap, after I finished and got it waxed I just wanted to rub my face on the paint. :righton:
