Wife and Neighbors Think Im Crazy

Good to post and get feedback from you guys/gals. I am looking forward to it. I am now back into the obession that is detailing after a hiatous for several years. I had an obsessive streak back in the 80s and 90's that cost me alot of money now I am back and feeling the detail bug taking over and requiring of me more of my free time and money. I guess this is due to walking into this website looking for products, and I was able to see the attention, love, and passion detailers have for their work. So now that I have a kit, a DA, and various other products and such. I now have my wife thinking I am crazy. Better yet my neighbors are starting to stare and wonder what has my obsession got me into. I am spending 6-8 hours on the weekend laboring on perfection. They whisper to each other "He's at it again" They go off and do their daily activities and come back home and "He is still at it" They wake up the next day and I am "At it again, this guy is crazy" I am relutant to go outside with any of my toys and work again because my wife just laughs and my neighbors just shake their heads.

Then it happened. My neighbor across the street walked over and told me he had been watching and started to ask questions. "How do you get your car to look so good?" He even asked if I would do his car, for a fee of course, and then another neighbor commented on how nice my cars looked and how hard I appeared to be working and that it must be a real labor of love. My wife is now inquiring with me can I do her car next. (Should get some benefits from this one:props:)

I back baby and there is no turning back and now I have the envy of the neighborhood and a new marital negoiation tool.

Glad to meet all of you, looking forward to sharing in our obession.
 
Neighbors arent too pleased when I use the leaf blower to dry the car early in the morning ... welcome !

welcome. the gf rolls her eyes at me every time i grab some qd or something but loves how nice her car looks. and now my folks want there's done up nice.
 
I feel so welcomed. Thank you for the love. :grouphug: I need this kind of support so I can buy more products and feed the need:hungry: Got the wife's ride done so now I need homecooked meal. She looked at me and said "We are going out!" I hope she buying!!!!

My neighbors will use their extremely loud riding lawnmowers in the morning but when I use my leaf blower they get pissed. :pc7424:

I hope your "benefits" are not the same as mine. Yesterday my wife 'volunteered' me to do both the neighbor's dark gray 4X4 Tundra and Black Highlander! :eek: FREE! :eek:

It's the exact same scenario for me. I live on a cul-di-sac so everyone's houses are facing eachother. You can REALLY feel the stares! However, it doesn't take long before you spot one neighbor doing his wheels first in a seperate bucket and sporting some vroom towels etc...Heck, one of my neighbors completely got the detail bug and now he's out there more than me.
