Wife thinks I'm crazy, I think it's convenient....... thoughts?

Apologies if I posted this in the wrong section (still new here)



I enjoy washing my cars we all do! I do it at least once a week.... from my garage to the front of my home (where I wash) is 100-120 ft. (there isn't enough room outside my garage to line up and wash 3 vehicles). I use to carry everything to the front with a few trips and then back again with a few trips. It started to like a big waste of time. But wait, even a bigger waste is when i would forget something and have to run back to the garage to get it.......... so I built this

Then gave a bunch of stickers to my kids, and told them to go to town on it.....

So, yes, the wife thinks I'm crazy. I see this as convenient. Please tell me I'm not the only one

At least once a week..meaning maybe two or three times a week? Look into a waterless or rinseless wash for those times when the car is just slightly dirty. BTW nice rig.

Where did you find the cart? Looks like a janitorial cart found at a hotel or grocery store

To be honest I think this cart ROCKS!! Great idea and just as long as your wife doesn't beat you....I think its fine! Way cool to see your kids personalize it too! Wife can't get mad at you now the kids were involved too!....LOL

But awesome idea! I have a Metro Vac for my vacuum cleaner so there would be a little more space where you vacuum is!...LOL

Nice cart! I want to build one so i can keep my most used detailing items out of my chemicals (paint, glue, automotive oils, misc.) cabinet.

But... I am out of room in my garage for a cart! With the kids stuff, metal fabrication tools, regular tools, parking for two vehicles I'm out of room in a 3 car garage!

It's how I do it, if I was correcting or ceramicing, I would adjust the supplies on the car. For now, I just have it setup for anything I could need to wash. But the pressure washer gets rolled out on its own

If your wife thinks you're crazy then you are doing it right.

When my wife talks to her friends about my weekend driver she becomes animated talking about how loud it is, how uncomfortable it is, how it rides so harsh, how quick it accelerates from a stoplight and how much time I spend "washing and waxing" it. When they ask her if she has driven it she responds, "No way! I'd be ashamed to be seen driving it." I know I definitely got it right!!!
 
Your not crazy, your practical; and practical is how you get to a position to put a Rapide in the garage.
