Will hybrid pads fit the 4 3/8" backing plate?

I was wondering if the 5" hybrid pads will fit on the 4 3/8" backing plate for the flex or do I need the 4" in backing plate.

I believe the Velcro on the 5" hybrid pads is 4" i think they are designed to be used with the 4" backing plate.

They would be tricky to align as the bp will be larger than the back of the Velcro on the Pad.
