As in title will spider webs hurt your paint I don't mean scratches I mean actual spider webs from spiders

I bet the spider web fibers are finer than microfiber towel fibers. Maybe the stuff that has been captured by the spider web may scratch the paint though. Pressure wash them off.

I would say...

no

Now if it's a really big spider, like in the movie 8 Legged Freaks, then I would be less worried about the spider webs and more worried about the actual spider...

Just wash as you would normally and you should be able to wash off the spider webs. As for large spiders? Might need a pressure washer with a pin point tip.

:)

Funny post, Mike

The thread title was pretty funny, too. I had no idea it was about actual spider webs

The only issue you may have is if you see excessive amounts of spider webs. Not for the paint, but for them getting into the vehicle and creating an infestation. I've heard horror stories on Click and Clack (Cartalk - NPR) of bad spider infestations. Resolution isn't pesticides either as it gets into the vents, ducts and interior materials... you don't want long-term (or even short term) exposure to that stuff.

Spider webs on the car? No worries... The only time I get freaked out is when I think it's a scratch.. I lightly swipe my finger and see it's just a web trail. :)

This post kills me.

Spider web syndrome?

I guess you could vacuum them off if you really need to.
