Craftsman 83929 30 ft. Cord Reel at Sears.com

Retractable extension reel has a 14-gauge cord and 3 grounded outlets. Features resettable circuit breaker. 13 amps. 30FThttp://s7.sears.com/is/image/Sears/03483929000?hei=100&wid=100&op_sharpen=1

That extension cord will work fine it's rated for 15 amps. There is no significant voltage drop in a 30ft. length.

for $15 you can get one at home depot that has four plugs right in the circular part.

Those retractables are good if you have a high ceiling and a swivel hook to hang it on. The one you mention is expensive for a 30' cord probably for the reset circuit breaker plus 30' wont get you that far from an outlet (10 steps). I agree with bambo2888 on the cord reels at HD.

IT should work. Do keep in mind that the porter cable uses a 2 pin connector (no designated ground wire), that should open up more cable options

the issue i have with this type is it doesnt retract by itself. I want something i can mount high up on the wall and have it roll itself up when im done using it
