Hey guys, so I'm wondering how do you remove that window chalk stuff off of the paint once its been dried for awhile?

  • Razor blade and shopvac (one in each hand in combination)
  • Razor blade, window cleaner, mf towel
  • Various solvents applied to shop towel
  • Soaked wet towel placed over chalk to rehydrate, then razor
  • Polish on foam pad/rotary for residue

Razor blade on paint!? Hopefully a plastic blade

Thank you jhallhall. I missed that entirely. Must be time to step away from the forum for a while..had a flash back of RV picture windows painted with neon green, yellow, and orange 3 foot lettering that was baked by the desert sun.

My bad, OP. I apologize immensely.

lol So any advice then?

Claybar

I hate dealing with window chalk, but am greatful their still not using shoe polish. That stuff was a real pain, plus it would discolor the trim

Good luck and don't get in a hurry

Yeah it blows, a couple of friends wrote on my Windows and got it on the paint but I'll try it and I appreciate the reply

Try tarminator. Might work an it's safe to use.
