Wiper Arms Protection

I've been impressed with Cerakote Trim Coat on wiper arms and the plastic trim under the arms.

I'm 4 months in on my first application. I stare at the metal wipers everyday driving and see a spot I missed for reference. So far so good for an inexpensive product relative to others.
 
DLux' product description kinda intimates it's more for plastics too.

But then their website also says ...

Dlux was engineered specifically for coating plastics as well as rubber and metal. It can be used on almost any wheel finish including clear coated, chrome, aluminum, and plastic.

DLUX or any paint coating will do just fine.

DLUX serves multiple purposes. As a trim coating and a wheel coating.

That surprises me, I ordered it on Amazon and now I was thinking giving it to my brother and order here Dlux just because the wiper arms and the added benefit of the wheels

This is what I do. When I'm coating the paint, I use the same product on any of the painted metal windshield wiper arms. Typically rear wipers are plastic so I'll use a trim protectant on those
 
I apply whatever paint coating I'm using on the metal part of the wiper arms. And because my car has that blade style that is like a big black rubber, I coat the back of it (not the part that goes towards the glass) with Dlux which is also what I use on all the textured plastics around the car. Just to keep it more black and easier to clean. I have used Dlux on the metal arms as well, works fine.
