After I was my car or other people's cars, and then I go to polish or wax it, I always will have a MF cloth with me and just wipe down the area before I start. Does anyone else do this, and is it a good idea?

A common thing that I've heard of doing is AFTER polishing and BEFORE waxing or sealant, is to use a 50/50 of some alcohol and water before applying waxes. this is because some polsihes contains oils. Don't know how many do it though, I believe Killr does.

I wipe down with 50/50 IPA and water between polishing and waxing. I've had trouble in the past with hazing underneath sealants/waxes if I don't. It only takes a couple minutes to do an IPA wipedown, and is well worth the effort/time.

wipedowns also help because the remove any fillers that might hide areas where more polishing is necessary.

So your telling me to wipe the area down with a water moistened MF?

I prefer alcohol, straight from the bottle (37 cents at Wally World) or added to a slightly damp towel.
