Hey guys,

So I got my PC 7424XP about a week ago. I noticed that there's some wobble when spinning the backing plate. It doesn't move back and worth when stationary, but when I spin it, you can tell it wobbles. I noticed the metal part with the rivets has a slight bend, wondering if that's causing it or if maybe the actual huh is bent. https://vimeo.com/179687047

Edit : The compression washer is on, and it sits flush to the metal base, the bend doesn't affect the washer(from what I can notice).

My eye says it's the backing plate is bent, end of story. With a little luck there is no damage to the machine. It isn't worth having it spin on your machine knowing that the increased vibration may make it fail. It of course would fail at the most inopportune time. The replacement isn't expensive, the solution is obvious. If you picked it up at AG I'd give them a call. Best of luck.

that is not normal. the thread spindle looks a little bent as well.. i would replace it and not use that one anymore..

if you decide to purchase a new DA backing plate this would be an excellent choice...

Hey guys, thanks for the responses. I'm contacting the vendor to see if they'll offer a replacement. It does look like the spindle is a little bent, I didn't notice that before.
