Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant. How long does it last?

I love this product. I use it on my vehicles twice a year (before and after winter) Seems to

be protect pretty good on that schedule.:dblthumb2:

It holds up a long time for how easy it is to apply, and how little you need. I find 2-4 months to be the average for me, and that is on a truck that's outside 24/7.

At almost 2 months.

Almost 4 months on the bed rails.

thank you guys. will this make the plastic darker too, or is it just a clear protectant?

Is it Similar to Meguiar's Ultimate Black Restorer? I like the Wolfgang since you can apply it to metal, I don't think you can do that with the Megs.

Yes it does make the plastic darker. When you get a new(er) vehicle, the key is to 'protect' the plastic from fading gray rather than 'restore' (fading due to sun UV's or weather).
I apply every 3 months (4 times a year) and a few drops on a yellow foam pad goes a long way!

How does this compare to the Ultimate Trim Guard? Thanks! :)

Very similar, very much so! (Even smells similar.) I do find it perhaps more expensive as well. Performance and overall look/feel seems to be very much the same also.

Does this also work on rubber?

Yes it does, have used it on rubber trim since day one. Bbut I'd hate to put it on tires for what it costs.

Thanks a lot, I figured as much but wanted to be sure, I appreciate it

I wonder if I can have the 4oz bottle beamed over to me today?

This will arrive tomorrow! I'm excited. Should I tape off any painted areas also will this work well for moon roof seals?
I'm guessing an APC wipe down and dry and apply would be the best method.

I use it on the plastic cladding and black plastic grille inserts on the wife's Pacifica, and the bed rails on my F-150. It lasts a long time.

I may have put it on too thick, but it seems to attract dust and dirt a bit. It might be me, but I don't like it that well on the chrome section of my mirrors/bumpers and running boards. I used on tires once, and didn't like it for that.

Over all, it's a good product that lasts, but my opinion it works better in some applications than others. Just my 2 cents.
