I have been using Wolfgang Metalwerk Aluminum Polish and Sealant for several years.

Aluminum wheels are a ton of work to keep clean and shiny.

The Fine Polish followed by Concours Polish does an amazing job. I have tried tons of polishes and nothing produces anywhere near the shine WG does.

Wolfgang Concours Metal Sealant is one of my favorite products because it keeps the wheels clean for months.

Before I had to polish once and month and now it is much less. It is really helps in winter here in Colorado. The sealant does lessen the shine slightly but it is worth it IMO.

I have been thinking of trying Metalwerx out. Do you have any pics of the clean wheels?:Picture:

I don't but I can try to do half of a wheel sometime and take a picture

No guarantee on when I can get it done.

If you put the time into fine and concours polish it will look much better than a new wheel.

No biggie man I am sure the stuff works great. I have never been dissapointed with a Wolfgang product so I'm sure this would also be another high quality product.

Do you use a lot of product for application or does a can of polish go a long way?

I've always used Mothers Billet polish and it has always been my favorite OTC product. I've bee curious to see how some other polishes like WG stack up against it

I honestly think there is no polish that can beat the combo of WG fine and concours polish.

The WG fine is probably similar or slightly better...

The concours is what makes it look amazing after using the fine.

It goes a long way.

You only need a little bit to do a whole wheel.

The size of Peanut M&Ms is plenty to polish a wheel... maybe more or less depending on wheel

Here is a before and after picture - unfortunately pictures don't do the wheels justice.

Polished with WG Fine Polish followed by WG Concours Polish and finally coated with WG metal sealant.

Spent about 25 minutes total - polishing by hand with 0000 steal wool for the Fine Polish and microfiber for the Concours Polish and finished off with sealant.

I'm sure I could have gotten better results if I spent more time.

BTW, these aluminum wheels are 10 years old.

They look pretty good :xyxthumbs: And those wheels are really nice for being 10 years old!

I might give this a try once I run out of my wheel cleaners.

Thanks for the pictures!

I also highly recommend using Flitz PreClean prior to polishing. It is only product I have found that removes the grime easily before polishing.... you won't have to polish as much!

Flitz Industrial Strength Aluminum PreClean remove heavily-encrusted corrosion, lime, tarnish, grease, oil and water stains without dulling

Also if you have a lot of polishing - I would get the Flitz ball over the mothers. The Flitz works better and is durable.

Oh yeah Flitz is awesome as well! I have also heard that the flitz ball is better than the mothers which I have. Mine is shredding up a bit so I might give the flitz a try.

Thanks man :xyxthumbs:
