Well lets just say I have always struggled with cleaning and restoring headlights. I have been told by numerous folks that I could use a semi-aggressive polish and it would do the trick. Well I had no luck with it and continued my search for the right product. Well I got some of the Wolfgang Plastik Lens Cleaner and decided to give it a whirl. I had an Explorer that was being prepped by me for a surprise birthday present for a 16 year old girl. Well the lights were in rough shape and I figured it was the perfect test vehicle.

I applied it with a 4" LC CCS yellow pad on a 3" bp with my Metabo. I worked the cleaner in until it almost disappeared. I then took my new Cobra Ultra Plush Gold MF and buffed off the residue and what to my wondering eyes did appear but a clear lens!!!! Man I was so happy that I finally found a product that worked on the lenses for me. This stuff was so easy to use and like I said just applied it at about 1100 rpms and after a few passes it had done the work. Just look at the before and afters. I also included a shot of one finished headlight and one untouched so you can see the difference.

This is a great plastic cleaner and I am looking forward to trying it on some other plastic pieces as well. As a headlight restorer it is absolutely top notch. I'll report back on my findings with other forms of plastic. Oh and the new Cobra Gold MF it is awesome. I really love it with QDs as its nice and big and thick. You couldn't go wrong with either of these products.

Thanks for sharing your findings with us, the Wolfgang Lense Kit is one of our best sellers! Its a lot cheaper then replacing the lenses which is what most people say they were about to do before trying to restore them.

I loved the kit and found the first time I used it I babied it abit because worried about breaking the lenses. Hitting it with a bit more power, and using a bit more polish brought on great results. The kit was such a benefit my friend Ernie (whos car we were testing it on) actually took the kit !

JL..nice review! I have had good luck with an orange pad and either PG or X3 and sometimes I will wet sand 1st. I follow that with the plastic polish and they just gleam. My process is a lot more work than yours though..

These are the headlights I did with the Wolfgang Kit
