Wool pad for headlights

Seen wolfgang used a wool pad on headlights. My headlights are needing some tlc themselves I do have the wolfgang headlight kit but seeing if a wool pad with it will give it a better look and I guess easier to come clean if so is there a certain type of wool pad I should use..thanks in advance

I'd think the LC foamed wool pad might be a good choice. It's less aggressive than twisted wool pads.

Yes there is a certain type you should use. The type depends on the tool or polisher you own.

For Porter Cable, I'd get any of the reputable brands microfiber pads.

Griot's

If they offer an aggressive cutting microfiber pad - get it.

You don't want to use a normal, traditional twisted wool pad on a free spinning oribital as they simply don't work.

For a drill, both Buff & Shine and Lake Country make 3.5" wool cutting pads for rotary buffer that will attach to any velcro backing plate.

Fastest way to do this type of work is with a wool pad on a rotary.

Headlight Correction

As you can see, this HHR is in dire need of headlight correction.
